The Frontend Developer (FD) helps to implement the organization's technology strategy by architecting and creating high-quality customer-facing user experiences that drive conversion and increase retention. The FD has a high-level understanding of crafting user experiences from a technical perspective to ensure that code is created in a reusable and efficient manner. The FD works cross-functionality with other teams in the organization to shape and implement the technology strategy into an easy to use and mobile-first user experience.

Requirements

Frontend Experience Creation

• Create and maintain the organization's online presence.
• Translate high-level user stories and design into user-friendly, mobile-first online experiences.
• Adhere to organizational style-guide to maintain consistency on all web platforms
• Collaborate with other developers in shared repositories to create a cohesive and well integrated system.
• Write "self-documenting", test-driven code that is clear, concise and adheres to the Don't Repeat Yourself (DRY) principle.
• Write clear documentation on the functionality of software systems.
• Work in conjunction with the Head of Technology and various stakeholders and teams throughout the organization to develop product roadmaps and feature sets.

Quality Assurance

• Evaluate one's own code and the code of others and provide constructive feedback during code reviews to ensure that work products meet the organization's code quality guidelines.
• Perform quality assurance testing of the organization's various web and mobile applications.

Internal Support

• Problem solving and resolution of issues reported by testers and customers.
• Be a technical expert on the organization's applications and systems and provide support to non-technical members of the organization and external contractors.

Role Skills

• Have deep knowledge of good user experience and utilize that knowledge for each step of the development process from design to implementation.
• Have a deep knowledge of React, React Native, and Javascript to effectively implement user experiences.
• Have an understanding of and ability to develop and maintain Wordpress themes and plugins.
• Ability to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot complicated technical issues as reported by testers or customers
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals.
• Manage tasks and project communication via ClickUp using Agile methodologies.
• Have a system thinking mindset and work to automate as many things as possible.

Work Location

FRN is a fully remote team, with team members in multiple North American time zones. This position may be performed from anywhere, but we strongly prefer North America-compatible time zones, with a required availability from 9 am - 3 pm Pacific Time Monday through Thursday.

Compensation

Competitive annual salary based on experience, with potential performance bonuses.
