About the opportunity
Ontra is seeking a Front End Engineer to join our rapidly growing company. The Front End Engineer will be an essential team member for Ontra. Our team is dedicated to building practical tools and processes to change the way legal documents are negotiated and managed. We have exciting technical challenges ahead of us, and are building a platform that is changing one of the largest industries in the world. Most importantly, we are building an outstanding business with a product that creates an immense amount of value for our customers, and having a ton of fun doing it!
Along the way you’ll have the opportunity to work with some incredible people, build some truly delightful experiences for our end users, and play a critical role on a team that’s challenging the status quo of a whole industry.
The Front End Engineer will report directly to the Lead Engineer (Insight) of Ontra.
What you’ll do
- Creating frontend components for new features within the Insight product
- Prototyping new product features using Ember Octane idioms
- Creating documentation and learning resources for the benefit of the entire engineering team
- Ensuring user interfaces are fast, clean, and maintainable
What you’ll bring
- 4+ years of experience with at least 2 years of experience building modern single page applications using libraries like Ember, React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Exceptional front-end development skills, including well-architected HTML, responsive CSS/SCSS, and performant and modern Javascript
- Excellent self-management skills. Since our team works and communicates asynchronously it is essential that you are an effective communicator with a track record of following through
- Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is a plus
Colorado applicants only: The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $193,000. The total compensation package also includes benefits (as further detailed below) as well as unit-based compensation if applicable. Compensation for other locations may vary.*
