About the Front-end Developer position

theta. is looking for a passionate, different-thinking Front-end Developer looking to be of service to the public good who will be responsible for building the 'client-side' of web applications for our clients. Your duties will include translating our company and customer needs into a functional and appealing digital environment, ensuring a great user experience.

We expect you to be a tech-savvy professional curious about new digital technologies and aspire to combine usability with visual design and work in an agile team.

Besides that, we expect you to be a good team player and find optimal ways to solve problems.

U.S. Citizenship, Green Card, EAD required

Front-end Developer responsibilities are:

• Develop user-friendly web pages using Javascript Frameworks like ReactJS.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and design mobile-based features

• Develop quality mockups and prototypes

• Review, maintain and improve user-facing code.

• Work together with back-end developers and web designers to improve the usability of web applications.

• Write functional requirement documents and guides.

• Collect feedback from users and build solutions based on this data

• Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting

• Maintain high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency

• Keep in touch with the latest trends in web development.

Front-end Developer requirements are:

• 4-7+ years' experience of working on a Front-end Developer position

• Significant experience with responsive design, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery

• Excellent understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment) in a cloud-native environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc..)

• Good experience with content management systems and modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Vue.js, Angular or Ember

• Good understanding of layout aesthetics and the ability to design, build, and test semantic, accessible, Section 508-compliant web applications.

• Knowledge of browser testing and debugging

• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills with an ability to perform well in a dynamic environment

Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000 (DOE and project-specific details)
