ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for Army C5ISR mission-critical systems.

We are seeking a FMS System Engineer tosupport the Army program management office at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • General technical knowledge of use of C5ISR systems
  • Guiding the implementation of systems & software engineering through the systems life-cycle in support of Foreign Military Sales activities.
  • The candidate works independently and is responsible for application design, development, testing, and problem resolution with significant autonomy and independence.
  • Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software based upon documented requirements.
  • Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis from system level to individual software components.
  • Performs software engineering tasks related to the design, implementation, and integration of software applications.
  • Mitigates risks on integrated software projects.
  • Reviews software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering; or equivalent knowledge in the areas of Systems Engineering Management.
  • 10+ years DoD Systems Engineering Management experience
  • Knowledge of DoD standards with ability to guiding the implementation of systems & software engineering through the systems life-cycle in support of Foreign Military Sales activities.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, practices, and tools.
  • Knowledge of software testing practices and tools.
  • Experience dealing with processes for assessing software for cybersecurity updates in accordance with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Strong Interpersonal skills involved with a diverse team environment
  • Hands-on experience with Software Defined Radios
  • Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Possess the proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills and customer service expertise
  • Secret Clearance.
