About the job:
Locations: Ideal candidates will be based in Eastern Washington- Spokane WA, Pullman WA, Asotin WA, Clarkston WA, Kettle Falls WA
The Carbon Robotics sales team is hiring Field Demo Engineer's (FDE) to support the technical aspects of our presales and post sales efforts. FDE's work with our Sales Representatives and Dealers to win new business and ensure customer success with our products. This is a hands-on role working alongside growers in their fields to showcase the capabilities of our laser weeding technology. The FDE's also works with Carbon Robotics support and Engineering teams to address issues and problems with our products in the field. Excellent earnings potential from salary, commissions and stock options.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years experience in agriculture working with growers and farming equipment desired
- Sales acumen with ability to deliver compelling demonstrations and address technical questions from prospective growers about our products to facilitate a sale
- Excellent people skills that allow you to develop rapport and build trust with growers and dealers
- Mechanically inclined; Able to troubleshoot and fix problems with Carbon Robotics Laser Weeding equipment
- Computer literate and capable of installing and updating software, uploading logs and tagging images
- Flexible and adaptable; effective in a startup environment with limited resources
- Comfortable driving a truck and trailer to transport equipment to grower fields for demos and deliveries
- Willingness to travel

The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.

$70,492—$105,743 USD

Commercial growers of specialty and organic crops buy LaserWeeders from Carbon Robotics because they reduce weed control costs by up to 80% and increase crop quality, yields, and consistency.
