The selected individual will work as part of a multi-contractor team providing direct support to our NSWCDD Dam Neck Activity (DNA) customer performing software and system engineering for legacy and shore training systems. The work location for this position is at our LM Facility in Virginia Beach, VA. The support includes, but is not limited to, software design, development and documentation, and performance analysis. Additionally, knowledge of architectures, communications, software, hardware, and documentation across the training systems products' life cycle. Specific activities to be performed consist of a wide range of system software development and life cycle maintenance tasks including: software analysis, design, code, production, software builds, unit test, integration, integration test, generation of software trouble reports for observed problems, problem resolution, support to technical design and review meetings, and support to various levels of customer acceptance test activities. This position may require occasional short-term business travel.
Basic Qualifications:• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. • Experience with interpreting and understanding software architectures, requirements, and design.• Experience with one or more programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, SQL and web languages.• Experience in Linux OS such as Red Hat and the Windows platforms
Desired Skills:• Experience with Database Systems such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or equivelany.• Experience with Object Models and JSON• Experience programming Network User Datagram and Transmission Control Protocol interfaces (TCP/IP).• Experience using Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) standards.• Experience programming Java Script, XML, MS Windows shell scripts and MS Office application code.• Experience administrating Linux OS such as Red Hat and scripting.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
