Description
Exciting positions working in Research & Development activities in support of simulations of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) air traffic control systems. Seeking degreed programmers (e.g., BS/MS Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Info Sys) for a position in a software lab that supports assessing new technologies and capabilities for the US National Airspace System (NAS) and air traffic control systems. Work involves Linux programming and custom applications related to prototyping and simulation. Activities include working in teams for prototype development, user interface software, and developing software simulations. Duties include programming, software integration of prototypes for simulation, quantifying and documenting results for test reports. Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, work well in a group and with individual assignments. Full-time position is located at the FAA's Technical Center in Southern New Jersey.
LOCATION: SAIC's Southern NJ simulation groups support the FAA's R&D and Test facility in Pomona, NJ. The facility and job location is 14 miles west of Atlantic City, and adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport. Full-time position, no temporary contract workers. No travel is expected.
Qualifications
Qualifications - External
(1) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Info Systems/programming or Mathematics.
(2) 0-5 years of software programming experience - designing and developing software.
(3) Familiarity with programming in at least 2 of the following: JavaScript, C++, Java, Cesium, HTML/HTML5, Python, C#.
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
