About the Team

Zoom is looking for an essential team member in the Enterprise and Solution Architects Team that will support system implementations to build cloud solutions for our eCommerce projects. This is an essential role, reporting to the Manager of the Enterprise Architecture team, with high customer influence, offering the chance to architect excellent scalable eCommerce solutions.

About the Role

As an Enterprise Architect, you will provide the software architecture and solution design to meet the product and our requirements of our eCommerce platforms. You will partner with Product Managers, Business Systems Analysts and Engineering team to bring systems at scale for both customers and Zoom's internal end-to-end business processes including Product Provisioning, Billing, Taxation, Payments (one-time and subscription) and Collections. About You

• BS degree Computer Science or related area or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of total software engineering experience, with 5 years of architecture/system design experience
• Proficient in Java, including open source frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot, and object-oriented design principles and patterns
• Design and manage the solution engineering in relation to Billing, Taxation and Payment functions in Zoom's eCommerce and marketing platforms
• Use Agile Software Methodology to provide solutions iteratively and produce high-quality technical design documents that use UML diagrams and design patterns.
• Design modules to improve Payment Infrastructure to expand the International reach of Zoom's Payment Methods
• Experience implementing applications using RESTful APIs and microservices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate architecture designs to team members including development teams, our users, and senior leadership
• Work with other systems and engineering teams to provide end-to-end solutions
• Research new technologies and software products and participating in educational opportunities
• Resolving escalated support requests for existing environments
• Provide recommendations and best practices to the engineering teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with JavaScript with UI frameworks like Vue, Angular, React
• Experience with SQL and relational/NoSQL databases like MySQL, DynamoDB, Hbase, or Redis
• Familiarity with popular message middleware such as Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Understand complex workflows and develop creative solutions to solve difficult problems.
• Experience designing eCommerce platforms would be desirable.
• Experience integrating with third-party eCommerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce etc. would also suffice and be a big plus.
• Experience integrating with third-party billing, payment and tax providers, like Zuora, Stripe, Paypal, Adyen, or Avalara.
• Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure like AWS, Microsoft Azure or GCP.
• Experience with SaaS Billing, Taxation, Payments, Rating, Provisioning and Reports development.

Colorado Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$116,820.00 USD

Maximum :

$216,090.00 USD

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed, Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration base salary, bonus and equity value. We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
