As an Enterprise Application Sr. Solution Architect, that's precisely what you'll be doing if you join Cox Communications.
From concept to completion, you'll see our products through every step of their journey, all while partnering with Engineering, Product and Technology stakeholders across the company.
You'll do all of this while working alongside your colleagues at Cox Communications, an industry leader in connecting people to the things they do and love, through products, services, and technology.
What You'll Do
• Partner with teams from engineering, QA, operations, product, and strategy, working together to build best in class monitoring solutions.
• Take part in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle, from requirements gathering, to design, to implementation and UAT, then you'll work your magic with validation and regression testing.
• Provide and contribute to CAD, High-Level Design and Low-Level Design to support project and enhancements.
• Assist with reviewing new and existing network architectures and design fault monitoring solutions that align for future development and integrations.
• The ability to learn and grow leveraging newer technologies such as CI/CD Development pipeline, Cloud, Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and applying framework to monitoring solutions that benefit the Enterprise.
• Lead monitoring design reviews and discussions with Project managers, Software team and business stakeholders.
• Perform investigation of monitoring gaps for existing devices on the Cox Network and provide analysis to stakeholders in a timeline manner.
• Contribute to investigating new software technologies and best practices and sharing insight with team members and leaders in the organization.
• Build, Development and Support new fault monitoring applications that assist in faster and easier deployment changes for business stakeholders and Cox customers.
• Perform data analysis, coding, testing, integrating and maintenance of the fault monitoring application.

Who You Are
As you can imagine, this is one of those jobs that requires some special skills. Here are some of the basic requirements that will assure you're on track for this opportunity:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field.
• 4+ years of experience working in the Telecom or Technology space as a Solution Architect building monitoring tools or similar solutions.
• 4+ years of experience working as a Software Developer in the Technology field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with designing and writing IF Spec for REST/SOAP API Integrations.
• Hand-on experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network monitoring systems, preferably IBM Netcool, Open-Source monitoring solutions, and Cloud products such as Kubernetes and Google Anthos.
• Proficient with writing design documents CAD and HLD using internal Wiki tools, and presenting analysis, design assumptions, dependencies, risks, and project scope, with peers, project managers, and other leaders in the organization.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize and manage critical project timelines that require solution design support.
Preferred:
• Proficiency with Data analysis and using SQL.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (Analysis, Design, Build, Test, Deploy)
• Knowledge and understanding of middleware framework components such as SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, etc.
• Ability to research current and latest technology trends and tools within the Enterprise Application/ Fault monitoring space.
