Our SSD Advanced Competitive Analysis team delves deep into the inner workings of both client and datacenter SSDs. As an SSD ACA Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality test results for multiple disciplines and document these results making them available to all of the SSD organization. You will have an opportunity to grow your skill set and understanding of SSDs that is difficult to achieve in other positions. You will also have the ability to impact and grow the script base of SSD ACA to directly chip in to the success of the team.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Testing competitor drives through existing test scripts to measure performance, power and thermal
  • Work closely with engineering team to design, develop, run and document specific SSD tests
  • Building and configuring new test systems including deployment of operating systems
  • Assisting in SSD inventory control
  • Modifying SSDs including BGA component removal and replacement
  • Improving efficiencies by test automation and new test script development


Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least an Associates Degree in a related field or 4-years of lab experience in a technical position or related field
  • Proficient in Windows OS and experience installing Windows and drivers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • A positive attitude and highly motivated

  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in a related field and 4-years of lab experience
  • Proficient in Python programming or equivalent.
  • Understanding of PC hardware
  • Experience with Linux
  • Sophisticated Soldering skills
  • Experience debugging sophisticated electrical problems
  • A proven understanding of PC hardware including building a system from scratch
  • Detailed PCA rework capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment or individually
