General Summary:

Physical Requirements
• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Minimum Qualifications:
Provides process, analysis, support, transparency, and insight on product development in order to maintain a steady stream of deliverables. Manages and tracks operational and headcount budgets. Works cross functionally with various teams (i.e., finance, engineering, program management) to forecast and set budgets for programs and meet customer demands on support and tools. Partners with the business, third party vendors, and the broader functional teams to plan and operationalize to help execute overall strategy. The responsibilities of this role include:
• Working under close supervision.• Taking responsibility for own work and making decisions with limited impact; impact of decisions is readily apparent; errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.• Completing most tasks with multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.• Exercising some creativity to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with novel circumstances.• Using deductive problem solving to solve moderately complex problems; most problems have defined processes of diagnosis/detection; some limited data analysis may be required. The responsibilities of this role do not include:• Financial accountability (e.g., does not involve budgeting responsibility).• Influence over key organizational decisions.• Role in strategic planning.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Participates in the development or improvement of tools and processes to increase efficiency.• Participates in training development.• Collects, analyzes, and consolidates metrics data.• Compiles and organizes budget and project information needed to develop budgets.• Participates in the tracking and compiling of engineering expenses and timelines against budgets.• Participates in creating budget reports quarterly or as needed.

This also includes the ability to plan and implement unconventional ideas and speculate about alternative futures without all of the data.
• Decision Making - The ability to make quick, accurate decisions. This includes the ability to weigh alternatives and take into account the impact of the decisions on people, equipment, or other resources.
• Getting Work Done - The ability to be organized, resourceful, and planful. This includes the ability to leverage multiple resources to get things done and lay out tasks in sufficient detail. This also includes the ability to get things done with fewer resources and in less time, work on multiple tasks at once without losing track, and foresee and plan around obstacles.
• Engineering Operations - The ability to provide process, analysis, support, transparency, and insight on product development as well as manage, track, and forecast budgets to meet customer demands on support and tools. This includes working within and outside of Qualcomm in order to help execute overall strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HW demand related tasks (including, but not limited to demand forecast, build planning, allocation and distribution, etc.) to SW engineering teams across multiple chipset programs.
• Manage hardware demand for the organization through efficient collaboration and coordination across multiple development sites and cross-functional departments.
• Negotiate demand from engineering leads, provide a consolidated report and analytical justification for budget approval,
• Analyzing supply to identify and resolve shortages and broadcast appropriate notifications to engineering leads.
• Developing pertinent program indicators to push information to internal teams and management.
• Identify technology teams impacted by silicon, hardware board layout, and/or software changes as well as collaborates with them to adjust their hardware accordingly.
• Represent engineering in weekly supply meetings to provide technical justification for driving builds on certain configurations
• Generating hardware related reports using a variety of tools for input and output.
• Understanding project constraints, consolidate these challenges and then recommend solutions.
• Identifying process improvements and implement/drive efficiency enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or related field OR Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant work experience OR High School diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of mobile devices (Understanding of embedded HW design and architecture is a plus)• 1+ Project Management(proven experience with managing several timelines and meeting milestones)• Proven ability to influence senior business managers on key project goals setting• Proven communication, negotiation, and motivation skills• Function self-sufficiently with little direct supervision• Ability to make decisions and follow up with corrective actions if needed.• High attention to detail required
