Engineering Manager, Web | Consumer Platform
Title: Engineering Manager, WebLocation: Dallas, Texas or Remote Reports to: VP of Engineering Job PurposeLTK is searching for an Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for our consumer facing web applications. As the leader of this team you must have the ability to recruit and build the team while having the experience and technical knowledge to mentor, empower, and challenge the engineers on your team.Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and hire software engineers for your team.
- Develop the team through mentorship, coaching, and regular feedback sessions.
- Coordinate with product, design, marketing, and support to define roadmap and requirements.
- Contribute to development, code reviews, maintenance, and architectural discussions.
- Participate in on-call rotations with your team.
- Maintain and improve team productivity, ensure proper SDLC, and remove blockers.
QualificationsLeadership
- Servant leader used to getting your hands dirty with your team
- At least 3 years in leadership roles
- Able to drive productivity and deliverables to completion
- Comfortable shipping multiple times a day
Work Management & Communication
- Highly developed negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills
- Able to work with other engineering teams to complete complex projects
- Sensitive to deadlines and able to adapt quickly to change
Technical Skills
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Background with AWS services like ECS, Lambda, and CloudFront
- Very strong command of Javascript and web frameworks (Vue.js preferred)
- Previous experience integrating Content Management Systems into your applications
- Conscientious of web standards (e.g. do not track)
- Previous experience in SEO
- Understanding of web-to-app flows (e.g. deep links)
- Experience with frontend unit & end-to-end testing using tools like cypress, jest, and mocha
- Previous experience with A/B testing
Nice to Have
- Experience in e-commerce
- Experience with Branch.io
- Experience building browser extensions
