We are looking for an Engineering Manager with expertise in high-scale, natural language processing systems, to give management to engineers and team leadership in the Personalization Platform organization. Personalization Platform powers personalized recommendation features -- whether listening experiences like Your Daily Drive and Spotify Mixes or means of exploration like Search and Home. It is built by technologists, product insight specialists, designers, and product managers in Boston, New York, and around the globe.

What You'll Do

• Serve a group of engineers as manager through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and career development.
• Be a leader of one or more teams, taking accountability for delivery and technological health. This happens through technological coaching in everything from architectural vision to operational excellence and through collaboration with product management in setting and executing against the right goals.
• Be a strong voice of NLP expertise on the Personalization Platform management team.
• Give leadership to other efforts that fit your passion and Spotify’s needs in collaboration with other managers and engineers in the product area, tribe, mission or across Spotify.

• Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Americas region in which we have a work location and is within working hours. 
• Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration and ask that all be located in that time zone.
