About the Innovation & Incubation Team at FIS - Impact Labs

The innovation & incubation team has finished incubating a product aimed to help merchants reduce e-commerce consumer drop-offs and is looking to hire an all-star team that can scale the business under the innovation organization.

Role Description:
We'relooking for anEngineering Managerwhowillreport to the Head of Engineering. They will play a critical role indriving operational efficiency, architecture, design andteam membercareer pathing.This is a hybrid role encompassing an even balance between technical and managerial skills.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Make sure all squad team members understand the project's goals and scope
  • Tight collaboration between Product and Scrum leads on the squads
  • Cross squad collaboration and knowledge transfer
  • Focused on ensuring squads operate as autonomous full-stack teams
  • Drive the development of a loosely coupled microservice architecture
  • Work with the Head of Engineering on setting KPIs and managing alignment with them
  • Continuous improvement in our CI/CD capabilities
  • Focus on ensuring consistency in the quality of our platform releases
  • A champion of team andorganizationculture
  • Ensure overall quality of deliverables: test coverage, code reviews, etc.
  • Coach and mentor autonomous full stack development squads


  • Passionate when it comes to removingblockers to driveforwardprogress
  • Constant focus on process improvement
  • Keep the project stakeholders up to date on squad progressand overall team dynamics


  • Understanding key metrics and analysis to identify areas of improvement for teams - data backed decision making
  • Ability to delegate projects to qualified subordinates as appropriate
  • Ability to lead, direct and manage effectively
  • Ability to operate independently
  • Ability to exhibit solid decision-making andproblem-solvingskills
  • Working with the team to break up work into the smallest deliverables


Qualifications:

  • Prior5+ years ofhands-onengineering experience,with at least 2 yearsofengineering managementexperience
  • An empathetic leader with a passion for operational efficiency
  • Prior experience working on the design, implementation, and delivery of high transaction volume with low latency enterprise solutions


  • Strong communication skills- mediation and negotiation skills


Nice to have

  • Prior working experience in start-up environment or corporate innovation team
  • Fintech experience
  • Entrepreneurial trackrecord:we want builders!

The posted salary range describes the minimum to maximum range for this job description in the state of Colorado. The salary range is posted in accordance with the Colorado Equal PayForEqual Work Act. The salary range for this same position may be lower or higher in markets outside of Colorado. $103,440-$173,780.
