WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As an Engineering Manager, you will be part of a highly visible, strategic team passionate about aligning strategic objectives with tactical demands. The team you lead is part of Global Architecture & Platform's (GAP) Customer Experience (CX) organization which is focus on delivering the developer and user experience layers for Nike's foundational technology platforms.
What you will work on
The successful candidate will:

  • Lead an engineering team delivering end-to-end user and developer experience solutions in support of the platform capabilities
  • Ensures team is using Nike's Global Technology delivery methodology to develop GAP products
  • Stays ahead of industry trends and leads development of key innovation platforms
  • Develops and manages team metrics
  • Accountable for growing & developing team by attracting top industry talent

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

  • Works closely with architecture, engineering, and product management leadership to develop GAP vision, strategy, and execution plans that are aligned with business outcomes and the "platformization" of Nike's technology foundation
  • Partners with Reference Architecture to ensure architectural consistency across all platforms



WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field or any combination of relevant equivalent experience, education, and training
  • 5+ years' experience leading and managing UI or full stack engineering teams
  • 7+ years hands on experience in delivering technology solutions/products
  • Familiarity with modern UI technologies including Javascript, React, CSS, and CDNs
  • Familiarity with localized and accessible user interface patterns
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies including Scrum
  • Experience with DevOps and NoOps culture
  • Experience with managing extensive cross team delivery dependencies
  • Proven track record of bringing innovation to large enterprises
  • Experience working with UX designers and methodologies including Design Thinking
  • Extensive background in working with business and technology partners to develop platform roadmaps
  • Proven track record of being results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
  • Demonstration of strong influencing skills
