As our Engineering Manager, Content Platform, you will lead and grow a team responsible for our content authoring product Mocha, our content APIs, and our interactive Workspaces used for student projects, which is an in-browser, Docker-backed experience. You will work with the larger Student Experience engineering team to deliver a seamless experience for content creators and students, and be at the forefront of our student experience roadmap.
What You'll Do:
- Manage a team of software engineers, including task planning, code reviews and weekly 1:1s
- Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Create, execute and communicate strategic direction
- Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects
- Work closely with stakeholders and product to ensure we're building the best experiences
- Mentor engineers and coach them on their career growth
About You:
- Passionate about education and people
- 5 years relevant work experience including 3 years leading a team that delivered on customer needs
- Proven track record as a hiring manager
- Experience building reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems and products
- Prior experience with DevOps / GCP is a plus
