WHY BOX NEEDS YOU 

Our Apps Foundation team is responsible for implementing features and architectural improvements that enable other teams to build web apps efficiently. A core part of the responsibility is to maintain and improve legacy codebase and build tools that enable CI/CD across teams. The team is currently working on implementing GraphQL to improve the API layer and another project to enable independent app deployment using Google Cloud Services and Webpack.

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader, driven by the idea of building a team that is focused on making development easier across teams and improve performance of our web application. In this role, you would be part of a customer-obsessed product engineering organization and would raise the quality bar for the organization by always thinking ahead. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Lead a team of experienced engineers between US and Poland
• Lead and organize stand ups, sprint planning, 1:1s, technical discussions and other team meetings
• Define teams' objectives and key results and ensure it aligns with Box's business goals
• Define teams' roadmap, execution plans and take ownership of delivery
• Align and coach team members to excel on Box values

WHO YOU ARE 

• You have 3+ years experience leading engineering teams
• You have 5+ years technical experience building full stack web applications and/or distributed systems
• You are able to build alignment and execute on new technical ideas
• You have people-oriented leadership style
• You are passionate about technology and can keep up with the latest trends
• Preferred: You have experience leading projects to break monolithic architecture into domain-driven components and services
