WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) is seeking an Engineering Director to work in our Consumer Data Engineering & Analytics organization. This individual will be accountable to drive a cohesive data strategy across ED&A in collaboration with multiple enterprise partners. This role will build teams to deliver highly performant and scalable data products and platforms to drive consumption of data from our enterprise data ecosystem, while driving engineering best practices. This leader must have the ability to attract and recruit the industry's best talent, and simultaneously have the technical chops to ensure that we build compelling, customer focused solutions in an iterative methodology. Success in the role requires an innovative mind, a track record of delivering next-generation software and data products, meticulous analytical skills, and a passion for delivering customer value through automation, and predictive analytics.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Lead, manage, and grow multiple teams of product focused software & data engineers

- Embrace and incubate emerging technology and open-source products across all platforms

- Work to modernize our existing tech stacks and data platforms

- Collaborate with internal teams to find areas of opportunities for automation and machine learning

- Partner with architects, product owners, data professionals, and software & data engineers to drive the implementation of new applications

- Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across full-stack development tools and technologies

- Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into AWS environments and provide operational support for the applications

- Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work with several teams across the Nike ED&A matrix including but not limited to Data Governance, Privacy, Global Architecture, EDSE (Software), Information Governance, CIS, Platform Owners, Business Owners, as well as a star-up minded Consumer Data Engineering & Analytics organization poised to evolve our data ecosystem into the preferred data & analytics provider.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor/Master degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

- 10+ years of experience managing software or data engineering teams

- 10+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

- 5+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms

- 5+ years of experience with AWS

- 3 years of experience with Big Data and data streaming

- 3 years of experience with Data Lake Infrastructure, Data Warehousing, and Data Analytics tools
