Galileo Financial Technologies, LLC seeks Engineer, Software in Sandy, UT:
Job Duties: Write, test, and deploy efficient, scalable code to production that impacts millions
of individuals. Design, develop, code, and test software systems, improvements, products and
user-facing experiences. Our core stack is Python, migrating from system software in C, and
legacy PHP in some places; as part of our move to the cloud, were running Kubernetes, AWS
technologies like EKS/Lambda/RDS/Aurora/Dynamo. Participate in design and code reviews.
Contribute to Galileos library of automated tests and overall testing infrastructure. Work
alongside software architects and senior developers doing state-of-the-art development work
(native mobile, front-end, back-end, DevOps). Learn about new technologies, tools and
processes that will build your skill set and help shape your career. Telecommuting permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer
Science, or related, and two (2) years of experience in related occupations.
Special Skill Requirements: Requires 2 years of experience with SQL. 2 years of experience
working on Linux/Unix based machines. 2 years of experience with one or more of the major
database platforms. 2 years of experience programming to code and unit test Object Oriented
PHP/Python/C. 2 years of experience architecting, designing, and developing large, complex
projects. Telecommuting permitted.
