Position Summary

Act as a subject matter expert multi-functional team of R&D, Systems engineering, and product validation to introduce Samsung products to Wireless Carrier

Role and Responsibilities

Act as a subject matter expert multi-functional team of R&D, Systems engineering, and product validation to introduce Samsung products to Wireless Carrier. Work with cross-functional teams to conduct customer deep dive sessions and new technology introductions on RAN product line. Responsible for analyzing the customer requirements, converting them to system requirements and work with R&D for the high-level solution approach/design. Responsible for technical management of new products and software releases to ensure that promised features are delivered with expected performance. Provide technical support for the pre-sales process and create compelling technical and commercial solutions to help achieve business objectives. Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations to Samsung sales team and customers.

Skills and Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Networks, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related. In lieu of a Master's degree and 2 years of experience, Employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Networks, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus at least 5 years of progressively responsible postbaccalaureate experience in job offered or related. Applicants must have 2 years of experience (5 years in possession of relevant Bachelor's Degree) in the following: (1) wireless networks; (2) 3GPP systems: Core and RAN networks, architecture and protocols; (3) ongoing 3GPP Rel-15/16 activities; (4) system engineering activities including feature requirements identification, feature description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, and problem troubleshooting; (5) 4G/5G concepts, including Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, New Waveforms, LTE-NR interworking and co-existence, and 5G numerologies; (6) 5G and 4G air interface and call processing technologies and network architecture specifically focused on Radio Access Network; (7) wireless systems including PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC and PDCP layers; (8) and LTE-NR interworking and co-existence. 20% domestic travel required. Multiple positions available.
