About The Team

An Engineer on the Canvas team is responsible for designing and developing features of content management system that delivers editorial contents across Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack website, Nordstrom mobile applications and in-store technology. You will be playing a key role working with a team of talented professionals to build our next generation of intelligent and highly scalable content management system at Nordstrom.

A day in the life…

Responsible for feature design, evaluate designs and provide feedback

Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain production tier-1 systems;

Influence quality standards and understand, identify, measure across entire solution

Identify performance issues and optimize solution

Research and prototype innovative solutions

You own this if you have…

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering or relevant certifications

2+ years professional experience in practice area

Experience using Java, React, NodeJs,

Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc., or features on other similar cloud hosting platform.

Knowledge of Linux/Docker and open source software development

Solid foundation in software engineering practices, data modeling, objected oriented analysis & design, design patterns and algorithms.

Knowledge of scalable distributed systems, service-oriented architecture.

Passion for new technologies, operational excellence and customer impact.
