END POINT SECURITY ENGINEER 




WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?



The Information Security Engineer plays key role in the Information Security program with responsibility to design, implement and maintain the bank's enterprise security technologies. The Information Security Engineer also plays a key role in evaluating and assessing bank IT solutions to ensure they meet and exceed secure design and configuration standards. This role will participate in the identification and selection of security and non-security solutions, create conceptual and technical design artifacts, execute system implementation activities, and support enterprise security technologies through their useful lifecycle. The Information Security Engineers has one or more specialization in enterprise security platforms, including but not limited to: SEIM, IDS/IPS, firewall/WAF, access and identity, malware defense, email security, encryption and PKI, database security, web application security, penetration/Red Team testing, vulnerability scanning and identification, among others. The Information Security Engineer will also serve as a technical advisor for select enterprise IT projects. The Information Security Engineer will ensure IT systems meet and exceed security standards, achieve compliance with applicable regulatory or internal standards and baselines, and are effectively designed and configured to minimize risk. The role requires an understanding of a complex IT environment and will collaborate extensively with IT engineering and enterprise architecture peers in software development, network and server engineering, Enterprise Architecture and desktop technologies teams. This position level acts as the technical lead for an enterprise security platform with high complexity and possesses advanced expertise in more than one specialized security platform area. This position level possesses a mastery in a security platform or skillset requiring extensive and documented specialized training and certification. Typically, this position is filled by a specialist whose skills and knowledge are difficult to find in industry. The engineer leads the platform selection process. The engineer makes design and implementation decisions with minimal guidance. The engineer is an effective partner and advisor for non-security IT projects, when assigned. The engineer has strong competency in the secure build and configuration standards of the organization and entrusted to make solution-level security decisions and recommendations.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?



  • Design, implement or integrate, and provide engineering support to key enterprise security technologies
  • Consult, advise or oversee the secure design and configuration requirements of key IT system and infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with bank and regulatory standards
  • Fulfill service requests related to enterprise security technologies to ensure their availability or restore functionality in the event of outage
  • Lead lifecycle management for assigned security platforms, including patch, upgrade and release management, performance monitoring and planning for lifecycle and replacement investments
  • Prepare documentation for support and operational teams prior to transition to production
  • Participate in the evaluation of enterprise security technology platforms to inform product or service selection
  • Through design review or security testing, identify vulnerabilities and gaps, and provide recommendations or directions for remediation




WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree business, computer science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Information/Cyber Security field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an engineer or administrator of enterprise security technology platform

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated experience with one or more enterprise security platforms
  • Demonstrated experience as lead engineer in the design, implementation and support in a complete enterprise IT environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of secure build and configuration standards in a highly regulated environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Including a strong ability to create positive and professional business relationships with partner engineering and architecture teams across IT
  • Strong commitment to working as a team and providing excellent customer service.
  • Masters' degree in business, computer science or related field preferred
  • Security certifications (CISSP, GSEC, etc.) are highly desired.
  • System administration certifications (CCNA, MCSA, etc.) highly desired
  • Formalized training and mastery in security platform or product
