SAIC is currently looking to hire a DOORS Systems Engineer to join our ICOFT team located in Huntsville, AL!

Program Info:

• The THAAD Institutional Conduct of Fire Trainer (ICOFT) train Enhanced Operator/Maintainer (EOM) operations and maintenance tasks for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system.

Job Overview:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project execution and requirements management for ICOFT including definition, derivation, and verification.

Responsibilities Include:

• Candidate will need to understand system requirements, system interface requirements and interface management.
• Candidate will need to participate in requirement reviews and create and/or update requirement specifications and technical documentation.
• Candidate will need to review system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate.
• Candidate will need to participate in the development of trade studies to support the selection preferred design solutions and course of action alternatives in project development/product delivery.
• Candidate will need excellent critical thinking skills and be able to apply them to all aspects of the ICOFT system
• Candidate will utilize DOORS for establishing links between requirements, creating objects in DOORS modules, etc.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; 5 years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree

Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start; US Citizenship required

Required Skills:

• Strong background in analyzing system and software requirements
• Experience supporting Systems Engineering throughout the Life Cycle of full Software development
• Extensive experience with DOORS (establishing links between requirements, creating objects in DOORS modules, gathering requirement data, develop DXL scripts and document generation for reports)

Desired Skills:

• Solid understanding working with System Engineering throughout the Army Acquisition Life Cycle would be considered a very strong plus
