The Salesforce Business Technology (BT) Applications team is looking for a Director of Enterprise Operations with extensive background in leading delivery for global enterprise application teams. This is a leadership role reporting to the Sr Director, IT and is responsible for delivering capabilities for internal and external Salesforce customers with a focus on trust, growth, innovation, and equality.

This role will lead a global team of managers, engineers with focus on Merger & Acquisition and Quote2Cash domain. This role has operations and engineering responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in building and leading technical teams, and in defining, implementing, and influencing engineering strategy and excellence.

Broad business understanding with experience in Quote to Cash domain (e.g. CPQ, Contracts, Entitlement, provisioning, Orders, Payments, integrations to ERP system) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, develop, and cultivate amazing people and teams.
  • Vigilantly focus on customer success.
  • Provide oversight and leadership for the delivery of projects involving a variety of technologies and ensure solutions align with business strategy and long-term objectives.
  • Collaborate with vendors and industry consultants to continuously learn and identify opportunities to advance our strategy and operating model for supporting our business partners.
  • Building strategic initiatives with ownership/co-ownership by Partnering and negotiating with various levels of stakeholders in business, IT, service providers/vendors and salesforce.com management
  • Accountability for team integrity, product excellence, decision making, delivery estimates, career development, communications, and project outcomes.
  • Partner with R&D and Biz Tech development teams to drive the automation of manual/repetitive administrative tasks to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner with Enterprise Security to define & enforce policies to meet the current and emerging enterprise org security requirements.
  • Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all security policies and Sarbanes-Oxley user and change management controls
  • Ability to partner with Product teams and help enabling features for biz stakeholders aligning to best practices (Training, Dependenciesetc)
  • Implements and maintains enterprise-wide system tools and ensures scalability.
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners around the world to execute on strategic projects to enable Salesforce's aggressive growth trajectory
  • Own documentation of new business processes, creation of new technical support documentation, and identification of technology and process gaps

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelors /Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, STEM, IT or related discipline
  • 10+ years of professional experience in solution delivery and architecture including but not limited to:
    • Managing global system engineering and operations teams
    • Managing projects with vendor partners and contingent workforce engagement
    • Managing complex internal and external customer facing applications
    • Proficiency in spectrum of delivery methods (Agile > Kanban > hybrid > waterfall)
    • Experience in Quote to Cash domain (e.g. CPQ, Contracts, Entitlement, provisioning, Orders, Payments, integrations to ERP system, mulesoft) is preferred
    • Leading innovation
    • Salesforce technology and Salesforce Platform expertise preferred
    • Salesforce technology and Salesforce Platform expertise preferred
    • Superior knowledge of incident, problem, SOX, change management processes and tools
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong situational analysis, negotiation and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to oversee multiple complex project deliveries in parallel
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exemplifies Salesforce Aloha spirit demonstrating key traits such as trust, integrity, character, and compassion
  • Strong background in organizational development and change management
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and experience supporting cloud, web and infrastructure solutions
  • Deep experience in vendor management negotiations, with 3rd party SaaS and on-premise providers
  • High-energy professional who thrives working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player with a customer-first focus and attitude
  • Fluent in the appropriate tools and techniques for analyzing, reporting, forecasting and developing 'what if' scenarios of business operations.
  • Travel less than 20%.

This role is Office-Flex (~1-3 days/wk in office) or Fully Remote
