The role
We are looking for a true engineering leader who can help us build out our Credit Services API. These services will power card issuers looking to launch new credit products. This includes the evolution of existing services as well as the creation of new services from the ground up. This role will utilize your entire bag of software product skills as you build out your team while pairing with product on the definition and construction of the offering. While this is not a full-time coding role, your deep software engineering experience will be invaluable. You will drive the design, building, testing, evolution, monitoring, and operation of our APIs. You will pair closely with the product to drive the vision, plan, and execute. You value high performing teams, self-testing code, and shipping frequently.
What you’ll do:
- Recruit, hire, and build Credit Services teams
- Lead incremental delivery of new Credit Services APIs
- Drive the future of architecture and technology choices for the Credit Services
- Partner with Product Manager on both long term product vision and short term roadmaps
- Dive deep on all aspects of overall design of the system
- Encourage team processes that optimize for product flow

What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack
- 5+ years of software engineering management experience (can overlap with programming experience)
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Delivery practices and techniques, including unit testing and build & deploy pipelines
- Ability to lead and influence technical direction across multiple teams and across the organization
- Demonstrated expertise in building and operating resilient software components within a large scale distributed system
- Credit and/or issuer processing experience is a plus, but not required
