You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Preferred locations are MN, NJ or PA.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting multiple global/geographically distributed teams
  • Responsible for a group of high performing scrum Masters/Project Managers
  • Understands and manages to department budget
  • Influences functioning of other teams (across portfolio) in terms of best practices, improvements etc. Has visibility at the Department level
  • Accountability for successful project implementation on time and on budget
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to multiple levels of leadership

    • Build and lead a team through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development
    • Drive and be accountable for technical delivery and work with your team on strategy and execution
    • Facilitate collaboration with other teams and peers in solving exciting and challenging problems across the platform
    • Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices
    • Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the things we value
    • Be an active member of the leadership team and collaborate with other leaders in the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of IT experience leading teams, Healthcare background preferred
  • 10+ years Project and Program Management experience
  • 5+ years in growing and managing geographically distributed teams using successful recruiting, employee development, and retention
  • 5+ years advanced project planning and execution skills including estimating, scheduling, and executing on committed schedules
  • 5+ years knowledge of budget management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in technology, engineering, or science
  • Experience with Product planning, MVP Scoping and iterative product delivery
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience presenting to a C-level audience

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $113,500 to $218,100. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $113,500 to $218,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
