Location: Work is what you do, not where you go. For this role, we are open to remote work and can hire anywhere in the United States or Canada.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Vice President Development - Platform Experience Technology (PXT), this position is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Shared Experience team within PXT. The team's mission is to build the most robust, high performing, accessible and scalable UI architecture that maximizes the efficiency of teams throughout Product & Technology. If you enjoy being at the forefront of cross-team initiatives, evangelizing the latest technologies & best practices, and driving change at scale, we'd love to hear from you!

What you'll get to do

  • Oversight of multiple Development managers and a cross-functional teams of Software Developers, Test Engineers and QAs
  • Execution and delivery of shared platform infrastructure used by the Dayforce Web and Mobile experiences, including the underlying UI Architecture supporting our Design System, Content & Widget Platforms, Usage Analytics, Accessibility Tooling, and Internationalization
  • Empower the team to build world-class UI frameworks that drive efficiencies in application development, leveraging the latest technologies and concepts, including microfrontends, metadata, automation, and testing frameworks
  • Surface best practices, opportunities for improvement and actively participate in discussions and initiatives to continuously drive quality in our software craftsmanship
  • Work closely with peers and stakeholders to understand and serve their platform needs, drive platform adoption, and maximize collaboration across functional teams
  • Understand company strategy and goals and use them to define and drive priorities within your organization as well as across Product & Technology
  • Hire top talent and ensure the team is equipped with the right competencies to align with the company strategy and goals
  • Build and maintain a strong network of peers, colleagues, and stakeholders within Ceridian to help influence direction, gather feedback, achieve your team's goals, and remove roadblocks
  • Maintain a shared sense of responsibility and collaboration between Platform and the rest of Product & Technology
  • Manage, coach and mentor managers and other software development professionals, including performance reviews, salary administration, and career development
  • Collaborate with Product Management and other Product Development partners to deliver innovative features and solutions that delight our clients
  • Work with Development and Operations teams to ensure DevOps design and strategy is included seamlessly into all work
  • Manage your teams spend on travel, rewards, and recognition activities, and provide input into budget forecasting plans

Skills and experience we value

  • Super passionate about scalability and have a successful track record building platforms at the enterprise level (that's a big plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to make user driven decisions, and a good grasp of UX best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experienced in recruiting, building, and managing high performing teams
