We are seeking a Director, Site Reliability Engineering in our Max Digital Solutions (MDS) team who are responsible for developing an Industrial IoT platform for all NOV Business Segments. Your main responsibilities will include leading a team responsible for driving improvements to the quality and velocity of our software development lifecycle through automation across change and release management, testing, observability, and incident management. A dedication to solving problems, designing sophisticated solutions, and quality is critical to achieving success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach and provide services to software engineering teams to build automated testing and deployment pipelines using CI/CD principles
  • Create automation tools to help support and operations teams
  • Interact with internal and external development teams identifying the best approaches for the integration of different systems
  • Collaborate with Corporate Infrastructure team to manage Max Platform and Connected App cloud infrastructure needs
  • Provide detailed reports within area of responsibility after product testing and validation


Requirements:

  • A background in leading cross-functional teams across infrastructure, application development and architecture
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • 10+ years' experience in Software Engineering and/or IT Operations
  • Understanding of DevOps with microservices and containers
  • Proficiency working on Linux OS and the command line is your friend

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
