Job Description
Building upon the success of our Lending Innovation team, Chase is seeking a highly effective and innovative Executive Director of Mobile & Web Development to join our Mobile Development Team as one of our Engineering Directors managing our agile delivery teams. These teams work closely with our business partners/area product owners to build strategic solutions that enhanced our customer interaction points with each of our banking customers.
As Technology Director of Mobile Development, you will work with Technology leadership to understand business strategy and their implication to application(s) under responsibility. You will participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution for mobile. You will participate in design reviews, architectural assessments and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with both Project Life Cycle Methodology and approved SDLC standards in all planning steps. You will also direct your team to adhere to Technology Control Policies throughout design, development, and testing. Additionally, your team will need to incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.

Job responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for for all aspects of mobile technology delivery by managing agile software delivery teams focused on IOS, Android apps and Web applications, as well as partnering with the Area Product owner(s) to deliver software solutions
  • Deliver solutions leveraging modern technologies including mobile app and mobile framework development utilizing modern design patterns
  • Strong risk management mindset relative to managing risk and delivering technical tasks related to the solution e.g. breaks, defects, patches & upgrades
  • Mentor team members to progress their technical and professional skills
  • Triage technical issues, lead teams toward solving problem, and plan team capacity to accommodate demands
  • Drive down legacy technology platform footprint
  • Be a site lead for our Line Of Business at our Atlanta location


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skill

  • Experience managing mobile technical Delivery teams and enterprise products
  • Experience as a Mobile Software Developer, as an IT Consultant, or in a related occupation
  • Knowledge and experience working with Swift/Kotlin or Java as well as experience in developing custom UI components
  • Understanding of modern design patterns used in Swift/Kotlin and Java
  • Knowledge and experience using popular build tools, like MAVEN, NPM and Gradle as well as Development Tools (XCode, Android Studio)
  • Knowledge and experience in TDD and modern testing frameworks that support it, like
  • Understanding of source control and experience working with modern tools that support it, such as Git


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Expertise in mobile framework and application design and architecture disciplines
  • Knowledge of Web design and development, tools and frameworks is a plus
  • An extensive working experience and advanced knowledge in server-side web and mocking technologies
