About the role
The Director will be responsible for establishing robust, efficient manufacturing systems and operational processes regarding the production and implementation of custom mobile restaurants. This role is both a leadership and an individual contributor role that requires working with internal & functional teams and external suppliers and manufacturers.
- Responsible for defining manufacturing processes
- Responsible for defining internal processes that govern how the operations team interacts with the mobile restaurant
- Oversee manufacturing documentation including work instructions, control plans, design for manufacturing and assembly
- Develop standard operation procedures that govern operational interactions with the mobile restaurant
- Participate in supplier and manufacturing site assessments
The experience you have
- Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred, MS a plus
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership to manufacturing and process engineers
- Skilled or adept at developing direct reports, enhancing their professional skills, and setting strategic goals & deliverables
- 10+ years' experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering or operations leadership, with at least 2 years in a management capacity
- Experience in the design and implementation of manufacturing processes
- Experience with “lean manufacturing” principles and tools
- Experience creating and approving standard work instructions and checklists for use in manufacturing and operations
- Experience with in-process and end of line inspection procedures
- Automotive or automotive “up fitting” experience is a plus
