Reporting to the CIO, the Director of Enterprise Architecture will work with their IT peers in applications and infrastructure, to develop an AS-IS enterprise architecture that includes all integrations, data flows, middle ware, illustrating the processes and how they flow across the enterprise application suite. You will develop the future state vision for architecture and a multi year roadmap to get there. Ongoing, you will provide technological guidance in the development of enterprise architecture components and services, new applications, the implementation of new software products and technologies, and the ongoing maintenance and support of the technology infrastructure in a way that supports corporate, team, and Information Technology practices, strategies, guidelines, and rules.
The impact you'll have:

  • Develop as-is enterprise architecture illustrations.
  • Design to-be architecture to support business goals.
  • Provide technical leadership in the development of enterprise architecture components.
  • Participate in the selection of applications for the future state architecture.
  • Direct the IT development groups on support of current business application needs with supported technologies. Identify changes or additions needed to the current architecture to best support our business application needs.
  • Help develop and maintain overall architecture rules and strategies for business-critical technology platforms: support architecture guidelines, rules, models, and presentation standards.
  • Participate in the analysis and design of multi-platform system architectures.
  • Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations of applicability and appropriateness for inclusion in the standard architecture.
  • Participate in the introduction and integration of multiple new technologies on all system platforms.
  • Conduct architectural reviews of the largest and most complex systems providing essential technical analysis.
  • Work with all development groups ensuring:
    • a common toolset is used in all phases of the development process
    • a transition out of old tools as they are replaced
    • common system utilities, application modules and architecture components are available and used
  • Design and conduct ongoing education of the IT development staff in the use of architecture utilities, modules, components, and processes.
  • Work with all groups within IT to implement architecture checkpoints in existing processes.


Who we're looking for:

  • Can motivate individuals and teams to achieve project goals
  • Business awareness, a sound understanding of essential processes (i.e. order to cash, purchase to pay, etc) and the way they impact our performance
  • Expertise in current and new technologies and their potential impact
  • Build partnerships with important IT partners, business leaders, and teams
  • Experience recruiting and developing excellent teams
  • Experience managing IT transformation or other large change projects
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructures, especially AWS and MS Azure. API design and integration skills using modern data architecture.
  • 10+ years of Enterprise architecture experience, developing architecture strategy and roadmaps and guiding a team of architects.
  • Comprehensive experience of progressively responsible IT and leadership roles, including IT strategy, integration management and application development
  • We'd be thrilled if you had the following, though not required:
  • Experience with Workday Financials and ERP Technology
  • Working knowledge of SFDC
  • Implement and practice Agile methodologies
