Director, Engineering

As a Director of Engineering you will lead diverse global engineering teams, develop sophisticated b2b reporting products that deliver state-of-art user experience and handle trillions of monthly logs, and grow your tech leadership career at a fast growing public tech company.
What you’ll get to do:
- Lead and support a diverse, geo distributed engineering team, helping to take the ideas from initial phases to implementation.
- Work closely with product managers to plan, design, develop and release reporting products to IAS partners and customers worldwide using battle-tested scalable technology
- Manage team planning and delivery with best SDLC practices
- Manage data access adhering to process and security requirements
- Collaborate closely with customer support team to address customer concerns and incidents, advocate on behalf of internal users and solve for their usability concerns in our tooling
- Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, product management, user research, user interface, design, and support teams to build tech strategy
- Lead engineering discussions and mentor others on technical implementation, engineering best practices, and career development
- Work with to leverage and improve our design system and overall architecture
- Influence key outcomes around product performance, strategy, and practices
- Play a pivotal role in building and improving our engineering standards, best practices, and rigor
- Investigate and research infrastructure tooling issues, resolving the issue and making recommendations for future solutions
- Earn the trust of your team, and challenge them to grow
You should apply if you have most of this experience:
- Computer Science, Mathematic or related Master Degree or above
- 5+ years of manager or director level working experience
- 5+ years of experience working on data and reporting products
- Experience with Java is highly preferred
- Team player with good communication skills, open to challenge
- Covid vaccination required for employment
What puts you over the top:
- 3+ years of experience with multiple data products and reporting platforms in the cloud (including various AWS data products, Looker, Snowflake, Spark/DataBricks)
- Sophisticated project management skills, and experience managing teams in multiple time zones
