We’re looking for our first engineering leader to own product development across our company as Director of Engineering. You'll be responsible for maintaining a high standard of product execution, developing a strong software engineering culture, and growing a world-class team of engineers. You’ll also make a deep long-term impact by working with the CEO to determine company product strategy.

About you

• You've previously grown an engineering team from 0-5 to 10+
• You think from first principles and focus on the core issues, with an excellent grasp of software development principles and best practices
• You are proficient in C++ and have previously built customer-facing software for desktop or mobile
• You have a good sense of user experience and product design
• Strongly preferred: experience as a technical founder or early engineer in a fast-paced tech startup.
• Strongly preferred: photography / videography interest and experience

We’re looking for a pretty specific person for this role - someone with shipping mentality, servant leadership, and an unusually strong work ethic. The most impactful skills are great verbal / written communication, good engineering best practices, and good product sense. We use C++, QML, and JS for app development.

This is a great opportunity for the perfect person to build our engineering organization from the ground up as we go through explosive users and revenue growth.
