Job Description Engineering/DevOps Lead Role Description
The Head of Lending Products Engineering is responsible for guiding teams across Auto, Card, and Home through adoption of engineering practices and development frameworks as well streamlining the migration to modern compute platforms. The ideal candidate possesses a broad set of knowledge and implementation experience in the domains of CI/CD practices, scaled containerized application deployments, quality engineering practices, branching strategies, and building/deploying microservices. They are accountable for building, prioritizing, and maintaining output levels of the Engineering Team backlog. The backlog consists of Engineering Accelerators engagements, building of utilities that close gaps within the current toolchain, and the creation and distribution of concentrated engineering learnings. They communicate broadly the successes across Product Teams, and work across the firm to resolve issues that slow progress. They are responsible for managing the engineering team including the people, financials, and platform operations. The Lending Product Engineering team is a set of 5 scrum teams located in Texas, Delaware, Hyderabad and Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading global teams of highly technical talent, driving engagement and priorities in a highly passionate and diverse team and producing results that uplift the 220 scrum teams (>1500 engineers) that deliver product in Auto, Card and Home Lending. This role reports to the Managing Director / Head of Architecture and Engineering for Lending Products.
