RentPath is looking for a Director of Engineering (Enterprise Applications). The Director Engineering (EA) will be leading the Salesforce engineering teams to empower RentPath to use Salesforce efficiently and effectively. In collaboration with functional leaders,.You will be responsible for the identification of the organization’s CRM needs, solution design, and deployment. You will also be responsible for helping to implement B2B/CRM solutions across various sales groups, product business lines, and support functions and proactively contribute to changes in processes and procedures with the goal of driving productivity gains. Furthermore, you will be driving the business processes through the organization.

A Day in the Life...

The Director, of Engineering, will be expected to consistently deliver top quartile outcomes in the following:

  • Critical business needs are met with high-quality engineering solutions, built-in response to proactively anticipated and/or identified customer requirements.
  • The engineering team holds seamless and productive partnerships with other key company support teams and relevant stakeholders, such that actual reporting relationships are indistinguishable
  • Workflow transparency exists to such a degree that the right work is successfully prioritized, commercialization is well-coordinated and execution delivers high-quality output the first time, without requiring multiple iterations and rework.
  • Executable and scalable sourcing strategy is built and maintained; the engineering team is comprised of “A- Player” talent with a minimum of open positions at any given time.
  • Harmony, collaboration, and the most productive mix of talent and resources exist amongst the engineering team; multiple competing technical opinions are given proactive consideration and leveraged to drive alignment to a singular path forward.
  • Advise, determine and implement best-in-class solutions within the Salesforce environment.
  • Collaborate with functional owners and other Technology leads to develop roadmaps for Enterprise Applications. The roadmap needs to be built on a detailed understanding of the business functions, processes, overall business strategies, platform vision and required levels of engineering excellence. Govern the platform solutions for various business groups
  • Define and document detailed business requirements, and approve specifications for new functionality. Liaison between Business and Technology for requirements and desired outcomes
  • Stay current with emerging CRM, Salesforce.com, App technologies and solutions.
  • Direct engagement with the field and various councils to facilitate discussion around the platforms, user needs, upcoming deliverables, and future priorities.

What we need from You:

  • Hands-on experience in Salesforce.com, stakeholder management, delivery management and team management. In collaboration with functional leaders.
  • Demonstrates success actively leading and participating in change management lifecycle, including requirement gathering, implementation, testing, training, and support.
  • Experience in a hosted (e.g. Salesforce), full-stack, open-source, and platform engineering, where resourcefulness is critical to achieving objectives.
  • Conversant in custom objects, validation rules, workflows, reports/dashboards, assignment rules and formula fields including the uses of APEX, Rest APIs, Triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning Components with a good understanding of Sales Cloud and CPQ.
  • Effective in managing multiple parallel work streams and initiatives
  • Strong ability to represent and document business processes, interaction flows, data flow processes, use cases, test cases.
  • Strong knowledge of solution development methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, SDLC).
  • Demonstrated fluency in analytics platforms (e.g. Tableau, Tableau CRM, PowerBI, et
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting to and aligning with senior-level management, ideally C-level executives and board of directors.
