As a Director at SpotOn, you will be responsible for growing our teams, be tasked with keeping our platform operational, and providing tools and processes for fast and efficient development to our engineers. There is a mix of reactive request-based work as well as long term project work. There is a wide range of environments and applications to support as a leader of multiple egineering and administration teams, from helping to modernize our legacy deployment platform to supporting our newer services-architecture based applications.
You must possess a unique blend of business, technical expertise and analytical skills. You will lead engineers and collaborate closely with engineering and product management, QA, and other cross-functional team members within the organization to build a platform to ensure 24/7 stable deployment of our products.
You will:
    Lead several engineering teams to establish reliable service infrastructure
    Collaborate with cross-functional peers and use strategic influence to shape product vision
    Recruit top-notch technical talent and provide mentorship to team members
    Guide architectural conversations to solve complex technical challenges
    Tаке charge of deployment process to deploy reliable products that are instrumented with logging, monitoring and alerting
    Hypothesize, measure and learn. Continuously test and leverage insights to inform decisions.
    Grow and mentor our engineering teams and learning culture.
Qualifications:
    7+ years of system administration experience.
    3+ years of experience managing engineering and administrative teams of up to 20 people.
    Experience deploying complex systems in a cloud environment (Amazon, Google, Microsoft).
    Familiarity with modern cloud tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
    An analytical and metrics driven work style that leverages data to make informed decisions.
    An ability to manage multiple responsibilities and multiple projects.
    Infrastructure “as code” experience (Terraform preferred).
    Experience building and maintaining Continuous Integration and Delivery Pipelines.
    Technical knowledge to facilitate conversations and understand challenges in engineering.
    Excellent communication skills.
