The Red Hat U.S. Public Sector Sales team is looking for a Director of Defense and National Secuity Programs to join us to cover the Intelligence Community. In this role, you'll report to the head of Federal Sales with in Red Hat Public Sector. As a Director, you will be developing and implementing growth strategies and a comprehensive solutions approach to reach strategic customers for Red Hat.
What you will do

  • Successfully sell the company's solutions and services to the Intelligence Community
  • Create strategic and tactical sales plans and guide the extended Sales team in carrying them out to maximize revenue and growth
  • Meet assigned sales quota by acquiring new customer accounts and renewing and growing existing relationships
  • Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and price quotes
  • Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals


What you will bring

  • 15+ years of experience in IT sales with exceptional record
  • Deep knowledge of the Intelligence Community executives, missions, programs, and partner ecosystem
  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced and growing team as well as on your own
  • Good communication and technical skills to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organizations within the Intel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Willingness to travel
  • Understanding of Kubernetes, Linux, and automation software-related sales cycles is a plus
  • Experience selling open source software technology or other software services in a subscription model is a plus
  • Security clearance at the Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI level is a plus
