About the Role & Team
As the Director of Allocation Management Engineering, you will lead the rollout, deployment, and adoption of technical solutions in support of optimizing Nike Store Replenishment based on Consumer Demand across all Nike Direct channels (Market Place Units). Responsibilities include closeout allocation optimization. You will also support future deployments of analytically driven predictive store load-in, and daily replenishment based on activated Online-To-Offline (O2O) services.

This is a key capability central to Nike's consumer-direct acceleration strategy to drive optimal product Allocation across all Direct channels and in optimizing the margins for Nike Direct business! This Engineering Leadership role will play a critical role across the enterprise Planning as we reset our technical strategy and as we engage with other tech leaders to accelerate the technology and Digital roadmaps.

You will be a forward-thinking technology leader with a keen business sense and experience in bringing Allocation capabilities to life and manage shared digital inventory. Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, technical product & program managers. You will influence the end-to-end strategy across technology and partner closely with a shared enterprise Architecture, Data and Analytics group. You will partner with Platform peers and Business Leaders to craft the digital systems of the future.

You will guide the team within a matrixed environment to continually improve upon its ability to deliver fast, reliably, at a global scale, with security, and to the delight of our customers.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering teams as we continue to scale, and build a high-performance, world-class engineering organization.
  • Partner with leadership to develop a technology strategy that enables our products, platforms and user experiences to be more analytics-driven, data-driven, experimental, and deeply personalized.
  • Transform (build/buy/recommend) our technology stack that orchestrates customer engagement journeys with an eye toward optimizing Margins and supporting Nike's revenue growth.
  • Be an advocate for our data consumers, and drive innovation in the delivering consistent, reliable, scalable and predictable capabilities.
  • Provide passionate, innovative and inspiring leadership and support for our Engineering organization.
  • Obsess with the analytics-driven, data-driven decision-making and the need for a world-class Allocation platform.
  • Recruit strong engineering talent that represents the diversity of our audience, with clear and consistent hiring strategies.
  • Build and maintain a culture of humility, execution excellence, knowledge sharing, collaboration, mentorship, and open feedback.



What You Bring

Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in business or engineering preferred.
  • 7+ years of software development experience, including data engineering or analytics space. Experience in implementing Engineering solutions on Cloud Based Architecture with technologies agnostic across multiple cloud providers like AWS and Azure is preferred.
  • You have 5+ years of people management experience.
  • In depth knowledge on Allocation Management and Replenishment tools (Custom, Mi9 (JustEnough), o9, etc.)
  • Proven credential in designing and delivering large scale, complex content, analytics and Planning platforms.
  • Provide best-in-class insights from a range of industry experience to help guide on how to evolve and develop Planning platforms.
  • Collaborate and lead technical resources to define the solution and technical architecture to support the solutions.
  • Proven team leadership and development.
  • Self-directed and adept at working in ambiguous environments.
  • The ability to establish credibility through vision, thought leadership, technical expertise, and implementation.
