The Role

We are looking for an amazing leader to focus on advancing our DevOps practice with the goal of improving the efficiency of our engineering teams and increasing the scalability and performance of our cloud infrastructure.

The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring

• 5+ years hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Experienced in production support and infrastructure management
• History of working in an Agile environment
• Understanding of software security standard methodologies
• Experience hiring and leading dedicated DevOps engineers
• Tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Kubernetes, and Sauce Labs
• Infrastructure-as-code technologies including Terraform, GitOps, and Chef
• Highly organized and excellent at prioritization and delivery execution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to partner with engineering and architecture teams to deliver solutions
• Understanding of software security standard methodologies
• Network infrastructure such as API gateways, firewalling, and routing
• Event management infrastructure (Kinesis)
• Automation and Scheduling infrastructure (Airflow, Jenkins)
• Ongoing management and optimization of our AWS infrastructure
• CI/CD infrastructure for our engineering teams (including blue/green)
• Production logging, monitoring, and alerting
• Disaster Recovery, High Availability, and Resiliency
• Standardization and standard methodologies for EKS and Lambda
• Database engineering including replication, scaling, and performance
• AWS account structure optimization
• Cloud storage management
• Cost optimization and forecasting
• Production support and on-call management for the DevOps team
• Instilling and fostering DevOps and SRE culture to our engineering teams
• Coaching team members in developing their DevOps abilities

The Team

Our team delivers enterprise products used across Fidelity to serve the needs of our customers and deliver a superior experience. You will be responsible for the deployment and management of the cloud infrastructure behind these products.
