naviHealth is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer who has experience in delivering and building software in a promotion pipeline based in Java, .NET, and node.js deployed both to traditional VM infrastructure and in containerized workloads on Kubernetes. In this role, you will have responsibility for designing, developing, and maintaining the Continuous Integration process as well as automating many stages of release cycle. As naviHealth grows in DevOps capability, further automation and cloud adoption will be critical, and this role will be at the heart of that transformation.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create an environment of continuous integration and delivery with early error detection during development that thrives on quality
  • Develop and maintain a continuous and on-demand automated software build and release process on Windows and Linux VMs as well as Docker containers on Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with other technology teams to design and build highly available systems using modern automation technology as well as find new opportunities to improve efficiency and colleague experience through automation
  • Provide new features, maintenance, and subject matter expertise for the DevOps toolchain and middleware such as: Bamboo, Octopus, Kubernetes, Artifactory, and Kafka
  • Participate in and lead deployment activities outside of regular work hours
  • Keep abreast of technical and industry developments
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent background
  • 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Release Management, DevOps, Systems Administration, or related field
  • Knowledge of all and proven experience with many of the following product/technologies:
    • Software Engineering (Java, .NET, node.js, web services)
    • DevOps Tools (Octopus, Bamboo, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Docker)
    • Automation/Infrastructure as Code Technologies (Ansible, Terraform)
    • Proven background using source code control tools (BitBucket/Git)
    • Exposure to Atlassian suite of products (JIRA/Bamboo/BitBucket)
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service environment
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products

  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Experience working both independently, and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
