The position of Lead Engineer, DevOps reports to the Senior Manager R&D, Clinical Informatics BU with the primary responsibility to support development and deployment of DxONE Insights Platform.

DxONE Insights Analytics is cloud-based software that provides actionable insights using aggregated data from connected instrumentation and being developed using AWS. This solution is used to identify patterns in clinical laboratory operations and reduce inefficiencies. The candidate will be part of the DevOps team and work closely with the Service and R&D team to ensure uptime of the deployed application and implement DevOps best practices.

In this role, you will have the following opportunities:

  • Primary point of contact for Global Service and Support Teams to resolve customer/field issues during US business hours
  • Work with Global Privacy Security and Services team to understand and implement security requirements
  • Hadoop administration and management
  • Automation and orchestration of cloud resources creation and deployment
  • Infrastructure Setup, Monitoring, Maintenance and Scale up for Beckman Coulter cloud-based application on AWS
  • Understand, implement, and automate security controls
  • Provisioning of Servers, Network, Storage, Firewalls, Load Balancers, OS hardening on AWS/Native and concepts in Software Development field.
  • Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS
  • CI/CD build pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins
  • Social skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and customers


The essential qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking / Information technology / Computer Science / Software Engineering or a related field
  • 6+ years of overall experience with last 2+ years of experience as AWS DevOps Engineer
  • Proven hands-on experience with DevOps techniques building continuous integration solutions using Azure DevOps, AWS, Docker, Containers, Kubernetes
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages: Python, Powershell
  • Experience with Linux OS, system administration and IT operations (networks, security, etc.)
  • Experience on using tools like Checkmarx, Nessus, Burpsuite, AppSpider, Grafana, Nexus and ELK
