- HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $90 – $115/hr
- ESTIMATED DURATION: 40hr/week - Long-term
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a DevOps Engineer you: participate as a member of a product development team utilizing industry knowledge of DevOps best practices, knowledge of company established processes and standards, and strong tooling experience. The aim of the role is to facilitate the smooth release of high-quality code at a fast release cadence and subsequent operation of the system. This role will work primarily with our client's development team who build SaaS services that are globally distributed in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will develop and upgrade reusable infrastructure modules using Terraform
You will use Azure DevOps to improve, monitor and optimize the delivery pipelines
You will work daily in the Azure Cloud
You will diagnose, troubleshoot, reproduce, and resolve build and deployment related issues
You will implement CI/CD best practices, Infrastructure as Code and automated business processes
You will work with the team to ensure required security and quality gates are met
You will evolve existing tooling and processes to reflect the evolving needs of the team, the product and the wider industry
You will work to create relevant monitoring/reporting using Datadog
You will be comfortable with Bash/Powershell/Python scripting
REQUIREMENTS
You have 3+ years of DevOps experience
You have strong understanding of SaaS/PaaS software and current deployment patterns including strong CI/CD knowledge and experience
You have demonstrable experience of using Infrastructure as Code and Orchestration tools to provision and configure infrastructure
You have experience working with Azure Cloud
You have experience in Terraform / GitHub / Azure DevOps
You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and globally distributed product teams in an agile development environment
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience with Gitlab CI/CD
Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
Experience in AWS or GCP cloud services
Experience working with the C# / JS / SQL Development Stack
Experience working with security tools such as Blackduck, Checkmarx, Sonarqube
