THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is looking for someone who has strong experience building and managing highly available enterprise grade data and digital platforms in the Azure Public Cloud. Someone who has experience in automating infrastructure provisioning and maintenance, creating build and release pipelines to support digital engineering teams for their web, mobile, API and data development work.
Responsibilities:
• Administer the public cloud environment (Azure) and assist multiple teams to implement and deliver enterprise quality applications and data solutions.
• DevOps engineering for agile delivery acceleration using continuous integration and continuous deployment tools available on Azure Cloud and open source. Specifically, Github, Github actions, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, Azure Active Directory, Kubernetes Services and Container Registry.
• Support the tools and infrastructure for build, test, release and monitoring, focusing on developer productivity, release velocity, and product quality.
• Develop automation code to deploy and maintain systems and applications that run and monitor services
• Monitor Build and Release pipelines. Follow up with appropriate teams in a timely manner to resolve issues. Analyze and automate issue detection and mitigation to avoid future occurrence.
• Be part of the security governance team to ensure compliance of industry standards and organizational security standards and policies.
• Drive towards better product quality through any process improvements.
Background Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years professional experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github, Azure DevOps is required
• Deep technical skills in Microsoft Azure Cloud service offerings (e.g. Virtual Networks, Monitor, Advisor, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts, Kubernetes Services)
• Strong knowledge/experience with DevOps – end to end pipelines for orchestrating, building, deploying, testing and maintaining web apps, APIs (e.g. Github actions, Azure DevOps)
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential
• Experience in software development life cycle activities - designing, deploying and supporting digital applications
Desired Skills & Experience:
• Must have: Required experience with Github
• Must have: Required experience with Azure Cloud Platform – Serverless (Azure Functions), Microservices (Docker containers on AKS), Azure DB, Azure Storage Accounts, and Azure AD.
• Nice to have: Experience with headless CMS tools like Prismic, Contentful
• Nice to have: Experience with headless eCommerce platforms like Shopify Plus, BigCommerce
• Nice to have: Experience with CRM platforms like Hubspot, ZenDesk
• Nice to have: Experience with Node programming
• Nice to have: Experience with Javascript, Single Page Apps using Angular or React
• Nice to have: Experience with NoSQL databases like Mongo DB
• Nice to have: Experience with Docker
• Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes
