About the team:
The candidate is a leader within the CI/CD Enablement and DevOps Product Delivery Team that is focused on delivering CI/CD and Infrastructure automation for multiple Development teams with high quality in a repeatable and traceable manner.
What you will be doing:
The Candidate will be asked to bring in the passion for agile software development methodologies (SAFE) and DevOps. He will be managing a mature team of DevOps specialists that focuses on automating the software build and delivery process, infrastructure/environments and development tools support and automation. Candidates will work hand in hand with senior managers, QA and development teams to assure requirements are accurately captured, tracked and managed to completion.

  • Manage team of DevOps development engineers. Perform performance reviews and status reporting
  • Manage Stories, Features and initiatives pertaining to CI/CD, Infrastructure and Development/Productions Environments DevOps development engineers.
  • Perform performance reviews and status reporting
  • Design CI/CD and Infrastructure solutions to take advantage of opportunities and new technologies, acting as a partner to and a team member of the Engineering and Operations teams.
  • Assist internal/external Implementation teams with deployments of FIS code into test and production environments
  • Supports and maintains the development of automation to configure and maintain server and application environment configurations
  • Help create stable workflows starting from source code management, through compilation, testing and distribution along development, test and production environments
  • Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
  • Completes and maintains documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Provide a strong desire to continuously learn new technologies either on a personal initiative or as directed
  • May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
  • Participates in Host/Server Vulnerability Remittance Management
  • Works independently on assignments, as well as collaborate with peers and other technology teams
  • Extra availability and hours may be required. May be a participant in emergency escalations.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.


What you bring:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
5-6 years of experience in IT industry with experience in CI/CD, Infrastructure automation, Networking, Merchant and Banking domain (ideal)
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Prior experience in a management role with resource skills is a must
  • Ability to develop and manage agile stories/features in Rally
  • Knowledge of common programming languages such as Java, C# with mandatory knowledge in TFS/AzureDevOps and Jenkins
  • Knowledge of common DevOps tools, Platforms and practices (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deploy, IaC, CaC, DevSecOps, SRE)
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management and related infrastructure technologies and practices
  • Knowledge of development tools such as Visual Studio
  • Knowledge in Containerization technologies such as Docker, Container Registry and Container Orchestration with Kubernetes/Openshift
  • Knowledge of MSSQL & Oracle
  • Knowledge of batch programming in Windows, and Unix/Linux systems
  • Understanding of version control tools such as Git, GITHUB, TFS VC, BitBucket
  • Understanding of development processes (agile, branch management, release updates, QA testing, UAT and production) as it relates to software releases
  • Knowledge of common automation programming languages such as Batch, Powershell, Ansible, Terraform etc
  • Knowledge of financial services industry
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, e.g., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development is desired
  • Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry, e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma is a plus
  • Knowledge of banking and merchant practices, regulations and operations within assigned line(s) of business is a plus
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., next level leadership executive, management, individual contributors is a must
  • Excellent status reporting skills is a must
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
  • Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
  • Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external clients and contacts
  • Willingly and successfully fulfills the role of teacher, mentor and coach
