Do you enjoy building systems that create developer workflow efficiency? Here at Project Ronin, Developer Experience is a discipline combining software and systems engineering skills. We enable our engineering teams to rapidly innovate by providing the platforms, tools, and processes that they need to create secure, scalable systems that help personalize cancer care.


The Ronin Developer Experience mindset is strongly aligned with key concepts around automation, best practices, continuous improvement of process, and quality. Your work will help increase deployment cadence, feature velocity, decrease the defect rate with tooling such as CI/CD, testing tools, and observability.

Here’s what you will do day to day:

  • Build the self-service platforms that the engineering teams use to build, test, and deploy services.
  • Writing code using Python, Java, Kotlin or similar programming languages.
  • Work with our engineering teams to to ensure we are following best practices .
  • Create and maintain our standard tool chains.
  • Consult with the engineering teams on system testability .
  • Integrate our processes with third party tools.

Does some or most of the below describe you? Let’s chat!

  • 3+ years experience in engineering.
  • Strong Coding ability - familiar with one or more of the following: Python, Java, Kotlin or similar programming languages.
  • Experience writing and deploying services in the cloud.
  • Experience developing tools and/or frameworks.
  • Familiar with CI/CD and production automation around deployments, rollbacks, promotions, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Have these skills as well? Even better.

  • Logging, monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Experience with test automation.
  • Experience developing Helm Charts.
  • Experience with ML Ops.
  • Experience integrating build/deployment systems with 3rd party tools.

Project Rōnin is filling one of the greatest gaps in patient care to date. Our mission is to increase the length and quality of every persons’ life who has been affected by cancer. 


This year alone there will be nearly 1.8 million new cancer diagnoses, and the tools oncologists are using haven’t been updated in 20 years. With our platform, communication between patients and their doctors is optimized through an individual care platform that is already having an immediate impact.
