Job Description
SailPoint is the leader in identity management and delivers an innovative approach to securing access across the enterprise with the SailPoint Predictive Identity platform. With SailPoint, enterprises can ensure that everyone and everything has the exact access they need, exactly when they need it, intuitively and automatically. As the Developer Community Manager, you will be playing an essential part in increasing the awareness and adoption of SailPoint technologies as well as helping to ensure that our developer community is successful throughout their journey with our products. You will be working with both partners and customers to help ensure their success. SailPoint products were traditionally UI-driven but, we now have a useful and growing set of APIs. Our developer relations program is new, which means you will have the opportunity to help shape it and grow within the organization. As part of the team, you will have a high degree of autonomy and support to pursue the initiatives you see fit. You will be reporting directly to the Developer Relations Manager.
Requirements:

  • Experience creating or managing developer communities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally and across diverse geographies and leveraging remote teaming technologies.
  • Ability to identify success metrics for initiatives and OKRs you're involved in, and ability to quickly decide whether an approach to solving a problem is going to be successful or if you need to pivot.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Connecting to existing internal processes and building new ones.
  • Basic programming or coding knowledge and / or CS degree.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsibility in defining, building, managing, and growing the SailPoint developer community, community platform, and eventually community events.
  • Own standards for how we interact with our community.
  • Establish and maintain external rules of engagement for the community (e.g., setting up badges in the forums, outwardly recognizing and amplifying the work of contributors, etc.) as well as the maintenance of these channels with help from others throughout the company
  • Identify where to meet our community where they are today (Reddit, StackOverflow, etc.)
  • Engage with SailPoint developers to understand their perspectives, workflows, and use cases
  • Act as a stakeholder for any developer resources, such as our new, to-be-built developer community
  • Work with product & engineering teams, acting as a stakeholder for the external developers, to bring patterns and topics you observe to help shape the direction of the Developer Relations program as well as the product roadmap

SailPoint is an equal opportunity employer and we welcome everyone to our team. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
