Position Specific Description

In this position, the individual will collaborate with development teams to improve time to value by automating and streamlining application delivery, compliance, and monitoring processes. The individual will accomplish this by building repeatable CI/CD processes including but not limited to source control, infrastructure generation, and management. Additionally, the individual will continue assessing tools, services, and costs in both development and production environments for updates, feature improvements, and savings.

Do you have the following experience?
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration and Network Administration
• Experience with AWS resources, services, security, observability, networking, and cost analysis required, other cloud providers a plus
• Understanding of end-to-end software delivery using CI/CD tools (Terraform, SonarQube, GitLab Pipelines, Nexus, ECR, or equivalent)
• Experience with process automation and CaC/IaC management using either scripting/Terraform/Ansible/Packer or equivalent tools
• A working understanding of code and scripting (Python, Bash and/or others)
• Understanding persistent SQL, NoSQL databases, EBS Volumes, and S3
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies to include Docker, Kubernetes, Vault, and Grafana
• Working knowledge of security best practices including authentication, MFA, CIS, and NIST
• Knowledge of engineering best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available environmen

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for automating the process of software delivery and infrastructure changes. Individuals drive continued improvement of software delivery process.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Supports the continuous integration services maintenance and configuration and keeps the build environment for the software developers working well
• Maintains and creates automatic deployment of software builds to test and production environments and enables the operations team to easily and consistently deploy software developed by the new products teams
• Monitors system development and maintenance and ensures that staff at all technical levels are informed of the health of our systems
• Continually evaluates Operation teams processes and automates repetitive and temporary solutions
• Improves the product environment and practices used by the software developers
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
