Description
As a DevOps Engineer II you will collaborate with software application developers, security teams and other partners to drive on DevOps initiatives. Continuous integration/delivery, security, operational stability, and observability along with instilling best practices within the organization are primary focus areas.

Day to Day

  • Design, build, test, and maintain our AWS infrastructure
  • Create, maintain, and participate in active monitoring of said infrastructure
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline and automate development, build, and deployment of our web services
  • Triage production issues in collaborationwith engineering teams
  • Participate in on-call rotations, project planning, code review, and technical design
  • Identify and effectively communicate opportunities for improvement both within the team and external teams
  • Design and evangelize DevOps processes for continuous improvements


Requirements

  • Strong Linux & networking fundamentals
  • Agile SDLC
  • Ability in at least one or more general purpose languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, C# or JavaScript
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • AWS Security and remediation expertise
  • Ability to learn, build, and debugother programming languages
  • Hands on Docker knowledge
  • IAC/Provisioner experience; Terraform preferred, CloudFormation, Chef or Ansible also acceptable
  • CI/CD knowledge with hands-on implementation experience
  • Git/GitHub administration


Experience

  • 5+ years' experience across two or more of the following: web application development, Linux administration, networking, cloud security, systems architecture, test automation, and/or database administration
  • 3+ years building and maintaining software systems with AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • 3+ years building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.
  • Experience maintainingAWS RDS
  • Proven experience with Ansible, Salt stack, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK


Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent degree in related field or relevant experience
