The Role
At this level you are expected to operate with a high level of independent dis
cernment and are typically responsible for implementing functional strategy, administering and coordinating programs, counseling and advising management.
As a fully-qualified individual contributor who has thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the function, you will provide expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems. Resolve highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research. Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Skilled and proficient with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely mostly on extensive personal experience and discernment to plan and accomplish goals. You will perform multiple tasks. Lead and likely direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Responsibilities
- Author/Update Component Technical Specifications
- Ensure the components are validated and all requirements are met by the supplier
- Package components in the vehicle
- Author Engineering Work Orders to release the components for prototype and production vehicles
- Troubleshoot component and vehicle level issues
- Prepare timing plans that ensure all program requirements and MRD dates are met
- Run Product Development Team (PDT) meetings to coordinate the development and integration of the components into the vehicle.
- Represent .components at Vehicle Program Team and Management meetings when requested
Additional Description
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in one of the following areas: Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 2+ years of experience in a related field
- Demonstrated experience in Automotive Embedded Controller Design and Release
- Working knowledge of vehicle serial data communications (CAN, LIN)
- High level knowledge of automotive embedded controller verification/validation processes
- Knowledge of microcontroller architectures, memory technologies, and programming

- High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
- Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required
