As a Data Systems Engineer, you will help to deploy and maintain database systems at Netskope. You will use your experience in Linux systems engineering, database administration, and configuration management to efficiently deliver technology and capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy data systems using automation
- Help manage the lifecycle of data systems automation including alterations as necessary
- Troubleshoot automation, including on production systems during incidents or other impacting issues as needed
- Coordinate deployment activities across multiple teams
- Participate in the development of new automation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related subjects or 2+ years of experience in a related role
- Shell(BASH)/Python scripting
- Configuration Management experience (E.G. Ansible, Puppet, SALT)
- 2+ years of Linux systems administration or systems engineering experience
- 1+ years of experience with one or more open source database technologies
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working remotely
- Experience with
- SALT or Ansible
- OpenStack as a user
- Redis, MongoDB, MariaDB/MySQL, ScyllaDB, Kafka, Zookeeper, ClickHouse, Yugabyte
- HAProxy
- Zabbix, Elastic Stack (ELK), Prometheus
- Google’s suite of Cloud solutions
- JIRA and Confluence
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or combination of comparable education and experience typically obtained by 5 or more years related work experience.
